The Punishment of Luxury by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark

The Punishment of Luxury is the thirteenth studio album by English synth-pop group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), and the third since their 2006 reformation. Produced by OMD, it was released on 1 September 2017 by 100% Records subsidiary White Noise. In July of that year, the band commenced a tour of North America and Europe in support of the record.The Punishment of Luxury met with favourable reviews. It debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart with close to 10,000 copies sold in its first week, making it the band's first album to reach the top 10 in their home country since 1991's Sugar Tax; the record topped the UK Independent Albums Chart. It was a top 10 entry on various European charts, as well as on the Dance/Electronic Albums and Independent Albums Billboard charts in the United States.
