Straight Up by Chanté Moore

"Straight Up" is a single by American jazz and R&B singer Chanté Moore, released in 2000. It was written by R&B singer Lil' Mo and produced by Jermaine Dupri. The song served as the lead single for Chanté Moore's fourth album Exposed (2000). The song made it to number 83 on the US chart, 22 in the US R&B chart and 11 on the UK Singles Chart. In 2005, Jermaine Dupri hand-picked Korean pop sensation singer Lee Hyori to cover the single for her second LP Dark Angel. The song was released as the album's third and final single. Hyori's version did not really differ from the original other than converting most of the lyrics from English to Korean.
