The Banana Splits

The Banana Splits Adventure Hour (also simply known as The Banana Splits) is an American television variety show produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and featuring the Banana Splits, a fictional rock band composed of four funny animal characters in red helmets. The costumed hosts of the show are Fleegle (guitar, vocals), Bingo (drums, vocals), Drooper (bass, vocals) and Snorky (keyboards, effects). The series originally ran for 31 episodes on NBC Saturday mornings from September 7, 1968 to September 5, 1970, and in syndication from 1971 to 1982. The costumes and sets were designed by Sid and Marty Krofft, and the series' sponsor was Kellogg's Cereals. The show features both live action and animated segments, and was Hanna-Barbera's first foray into mixing live-action with animation. A horror film adaptation, The Banana Splits Movie, was released on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally in August 2019, with an airing on the Syfy channel on October 12 of that year.
