Fear and the Nervous System é uma banda de Rock Industrial/Rock Alternativo criada em 2008 na cidade de Nova Iorque, Nova Iorque pelo guitarrista da banda de Nu Metal Korn,James "Munky" Shaffer.Além de Shaffer a banda é formada por Billy Gould (Baixo),Steve Krolikowski(Vocal),Leopold Ross (Guitarras),Zac Baird (Teclado),Brooks Wackerman (Bateria).
Após 3 anos trabalhando o primeiro álbum da banda chamado "Fear And The Nervous System" foi lançado digitalmente via iTunes e Amazon dia 25 de Outubro de 2011.O álbum foi produzido Tim Harkins, Danny Lohner e teve a capa desenhada pelo guitarrista da banda Limp Bizkit,Wes Borland.
A banda também planeja entrar em turnê muito em breve.
