David «Dave» Scott Mustaine (La Mesa, California, 13 de septiembre de 1961) es un músico estadounidense, conocido por haber sido el primer guitarrista de la banda de thrash metal Metallica, y por ser el fundador, guitarrista, vocalista y principal compositor de la banda del también género thrash metal Megadeth, luego de la expulsión de la antes mencionada.
