The Plastic People of the Universe (PPU) fue una banda de rock de Praga (República Checa).
Fueron los principales representantes de la corriente musical Prague underground (entre los años 1960 y 1990). El grupo fue ejemplo de avantgarde durante el régimen comunista y su no conformismo le ocasionó serios problemas que incluyeron el arresto de varios de sus miembros en 1976. Las letras de sus canciones fueron escritas por Egon Bondy.
